Peeling Supervisor

My name is Pili Hassan Malimi, and I am a supervisor in the cashew nut peeling department. When I started working here, I was a regular worker in the cashew nut peeling department, but the bosses noticed my good work and communication skills with my colleagues, so they promoted me to be the supervisor of that department. I am very happy to be a supervisor and to work with my colleagues as friends; we cooperate and solve problems together. In our company, there is unity and cooperation.

I am the youngest of six siblings in my family, and I was born in the village of Lipwidi, Mtwara. I started working in cashew nut processing factories here in Mtwara for a short period before returning to my village. Later, I found another job in another factory for about eight years before it closed down. After hearing about Mama Cashew, I applied for a job and have been working here since the beginning of the factory's operations.

I love working here because our bosses are open and caring, and they want their employees to be happy. When problems arise, they help us solve them in a good way. This job brings me great joy. I am committed to working hard to give my child the best education and life possible because women are now the mainstay of the family.

The cooperation within the factory is excellent; when we face challenges, the leaders call me as the department supervisor to resolve them. Also, we receive our salaries on time; even if there are challenges, the bosses pay us without delay. This is different from other factories where salary payments are often delayed for two weeks or more. Here at Mama Cashew, things are different.
